Luke 2:25-35 Jesus the perfect sacrificial lamb

When Simeon took Jesus in his arms he saw the salvation from God in person and as a present reality. God is not aloof, he is with us in our fallen nature and here to save us. By the sacrifice of Jesus the Lord he reconciled us with Him. Our salvation is not subjective but objective, outside of ourselves. No skill nor ability can bring us salvation only grace through faith in Jesus and nothing more.
